Hello again — on why I disappeared for a year

Posted earlier this month · 3 min read

A year ago I stopped posting. There was no dramatic reason — no burnout story, no big life event. I simply looked at the draft folder one evening, realized I was writing to a schedule instead of writing because I had something to say, and decided to close the laptop for a while.

"A while" turned into twelve months. In that time I read forty-something books, learned to bake a decent loaf of bread, and did not once miss the publish button.

What brought me back is embarrassingly simple: I missed having a place to think in long form. Social posts are too short, notebooks are too private. A blog sits in the sweet spot — public enough to force clarity, personal enough to stay honest.

So here we are. The archives are being dusted off, the theme is new, and the next post is already in drafts. If you've been here before: thanks for waiting. If you're new: welcome, pull up a chair.
